Our Winter Cleanup Was a Huge Success

Our staff and volunteers spent many, many hours over the winter months working together on our clean up project, and it has been a huge success! The skatepark has a number of areas that over the years have had a build up of old materials, and even waste left by past partners and events. With a small team that are constantly on the go, it is difficult to find the time to work on such a big issue within the skatepark.

Despite the old ramp materials, etc. all being stored safely, we have ambitious plans for these storage areas at the skatepark, so we went to work to remove, recycle where possible and clean up the skatepark ready for spring 2026.

Volunteers really make these projects possible for a charity and we are hugely appreciative of their hard work and time working with us to make a real difference.

Over the wet winter months the teams cleared away 4 skips of material that we couldn’t re-use or recycle, with the skips packed carefully to maximise space. You’ll notice around the skatepark areas opening up, ready for some positive change in the near future.

A big thank you to the PCC grounds team for all their hard work on carefully cutting back the hedges that open up visibility to skatepark and also provide much needed spaces for wildlife.

If you would like to volunteer please get in touch!
